What are the symptoms of colon cancer?
Many patients don't have a single colon cancer symptom until the disease is quite advanced. Other common symptoms appear in the list below.

- Fatigue
- Anemia
- Altered bowel function (constipation, diarrhea, absence of function, ribbon thin stools)
- Weight loss
- Blood in or on stool
- Night sweats
- Upper right quadrant or right shoulder pain
Blood in the stool is a serious sign of colon cancer and should not be ignored. Although this colon rectal cancer symptom is most frequently not colon cancer, it is an important symptom and the patient should always notify his or her physician if blood is present in the stool.'
